Reports can be purchased without a subscription through the NIC MAP online store. Our quarterly reports include Senior Housing and Care Market Performance Reports, Metro Market Reports, Inventory and Construction Reports, Construction Monitor, and the NIC MAP Monitor.
What U.S. markets does NIC MAP cover?
Our rate and occupancy data and time-series data are collected from 214 metropolitan markets. View our metro market coverage map for a list of markets and counties in which we currently track senior housing and care rate and occupancy trends.
Account Information
How do I access my password?
Current NIC MAP clients can visit portal.nicmap.com to access the client portal, where you can request to change your password. If you experience difficulty logging in, please contact Client Success at support@nicmap.com.
How do I add or remove users from our subscription?
Requests to add or remove users must be submitted in writing to our Client Success team either by email or through the in-platform support feature in the client portal.

Data Collection/ Confidentiality
What data is collected?
NIC MAP provides proprietary, quality data to senior housing stakeholders. We have a dedicated quality assurance team that is constantly verifying and updating the data we offer clients. We pull data directly from operators, not from third parties. Unlike other data providers that only collect information yearly, depending on access, NIC MAP clients are able to receive:
- Weekly reporting of sales transactions
- Monthly supply updates
- Three-month rolling data updated monthly for occupancy and inventory metrics
- Quarterly reporting of core market fundamentals data

Can I obtain performance metrics for a specific property?
NIC MAP has a data confidentiality agreement with all data contributors to ensure that their individual performance data will be kept confidential. This agreement prohibits NIC MAP from releasing metrics for a specific senior housing property. Quality controls have been implemented to ensure that data is handled responsibly and remains confidential.
What types of senior housing properties are tracked?
We strive to have a census of all market-rate (non-subsidized) seniors housing and care properties that meet our minimum size requirements. Independent living and assisted living properties must have at least 25 units, and nursing care properties must have at least 25 beds to be included in our data collection. Occasionally smaller properties will be included if they are deemed competitive.
How often is new market data released?
Senior housing and care market performance data is released on an intra-quarterly, and quarterly basis, construction planning data is uploaded to our website monthly, and sales transaction data is released weekly. We also provide current demographic data that can be paired with our market data to show you a full picture of supply and demand metrics.
