I’m Axel Guerra, Director of Acquisitions and Development for Kisco Senior Living. We at Kisco have been using both NIC MAP and VisionLTC for several years now. We were actually one of the first subscribers to the NIC MAP product when it initially came out, and then it must have been around 2017 when we started using VisionLTC. The dual subscription marries the supply side and the demand side in a tool that is specific to seniors housing. When I initially started working in this industry, there were a number of different demographic tools to use, and then we would also, as a swivel-chair solution, have to pivot over to NIC MAP and try to marry up the data that way. Now having it consolidated saves us a lot of time and enhances our ability to analyze the market because the data essentially speaks to each other. One thing that has been a challenge is working with a tool that is specific to seniors housing — there’s an array of demographic tools, but almost none of them really focus in on the senior population. With NIC MAP Vision, we now have a tool that enables us to focus on what’s important to us and spend less time filtering through data that’s not as relevant to our pursuits. NIC MAP Vision is indispensable and important to our business because it gives us the first look into a market that we otherwise have very limited information on — and not just that, it also gives us information that is specific to our interests in the seniors housing industry and the demographic we look to target.
